Today was the 1st day of seminary!

When you read your local paper do you go straight to the Police section? Yes. To learn what crimes have occurred in the area so you can better protect yourself, of course. That, and also to see if you know anybody that's been busted.

This time I was STARTLED to see my own street listed. And then I read further...

5 More Days!

Kinda hard to see, but this is my seminary lesson schedule. In red pencil I put a countdown of how many days until the last day of seminary. Yeah, it's 5.

I've just about earned my seminary pin which requires 200 days of reading and completing all required Old Testament chapters.

My chart is not entirely accurate, but I forget to read on Friday's and Saturday's a lot.


Out of 25 Old Testament scripture mastery scriptures, I've got one more to memorize and it's a monster hard one. "Malachi 3:8-10 Will a man rob God..." that's pretty much all I know on that one.


I just barely passed off Isaiah 29:something after practicing it on paper yesterday. I attempted to pass it off to the class this morning and I had about 39 errors, but I think Heavenly Father knows that I know it and that I understand what it means.


Tomorrow is the Stake Scripture Mastery Competition.

My Morning With Saul, Samuel & The Israelites

I have to remind everyone not to be jealous of me.
Because I teach seminary.

This morning we learned about Saul. The Israelites insisted on having a king. Everyone else has a king, why can't we?

Here I am, trying to find a volunteer to dress up like Saul & Samuel. Come on, any volunteers? You get to wear this crown that I made.

This outfit that I am wearing is really cute.

Yea! A volunteer for King Saul who really is very tall, just like the real Saul.

"Join the Job Worm Club" it says on the board in the back. Write your name on the worm if you memorized Job 19:25-26.

Yea! A volunteer for Samuel. Wise, just like the real Samuel.


I sat down with the Israelites and told the story of Saul becoming King.


The students really enjoyed it!
