We Made These Today!
Nick made these: No Name & Baldy

Preston made this one: Hubert the Huge

Josh made these: they each have a name.
See Josh's Hot Lava Blog for details.

I made these.
I tried to get them to be cute, but couldn't quite accomplish that.
They are baby heads, if you can't tell.
Anyway, it was craft day today at the Buckley's.
Yesterday was airsoft gun and movie-making day.
Later I'll post the 2 movies that we made.
Stay tuned for: NICK ROCKS! and JOSH LOVES THE BALL movies from the Buck's Film Studio of Seattle.

Love Note

To: Mom
From: Joshua

Sometimes at church, primary teachers have the children write "thank you" cards to people they appreciate. This Sunday, I got one from Joshua.

Who is 8.

It started out with a BIG THANK YOU.

Then I was thanked for helping him all the time.

Then I was told that he wants me to buy him some more presents for his B-day.

Last, I was told that he is very glad that I am his MOM.

Children are sweet.
But "no" to the presents request.

2008 Microsoft Picnic
Mountain Meadow Farm, North Bend, Washington

We are always one of the first families there.

Hundreds of people accumulate at the gate.

Nick & I buddied up for the first hour or so.
That's why there's so many pictures of Nick.

I just slowed Nick down, later he went out by himself.

Nick dominated at bingo and won every prize available except dumb magnets, because he didn't want those.

When everyone saw all of the prizes Nick won, Bingo suddenly got popular.
Christian got BINGO and won the coveted MS backpack prize.

As we ate, we were entertained by motorcycle jumping guys.
As we ate we were also entertained by this guy who kept yelling (quietly) at his wife. Apparently she ruined his day and ruined all of the kids day because of her attitude. He reminded us for 40 minutes how much she ruined his day.
This is beautiful Mt. Si in the back.

There was a basketball hoop that dumped water on your friend if you made a basket. That's how Josh & Chase got wet.

Everyone but me got fake tattoos.
That's my family.

The Buck's Film Studio of Seattle presents:
"Barefoot Josh
by Josh & Kendal Buckley

Josh dares to be barefoot while making a turkey sandwich with his feet in this hilarious episode of Barefoot Josh.

Hyrum's contest Theme:  "The Food Network"
We don't have the Food Network channel.  When we did have it, I deleted it because I really don't care about watching people cook.   Online I found that Food Network has a show called "Barefoot Clarissa" or something.  Barefoot something.   Never seen it.  Never will.  But it gave us the idea for the movie.
Happy 14th Birthday, Preston!
This is you in 1997:

To celebrate your 14-ness, we celebrated by seeing
The Dark Knight at midnight.

The Joker: [to Rachel] A little fight in ya. I like that.
Batman: Then you're going to love me.

The Joker: Why... so... serious?

It's Showtime!

Us Fisher's are pretty much creative geniuses.  Thank you Hyrum for giving us a place to go to share our ideas in movie format.   Hyrum has set up a video channel where we can post our own homemade movies, adhering to a theme.  We can also view other family member's movies, comment on them and rate them.

My movie idea was great in my head, but translating that into something someone would actually want to waste a minute watching is not as easy as I thought.  The movie is unfinished because I didn't film an ending.
The theme was "Hands Only".
Enjoy!  And keep your expectations low.

It is Great to be 8!
Happy Birthday to Josh!

(Not a real mustache or beard.)

We got us some boys and went to see
Journey to the Center of the Earth.

It turned out to be 3D which was so exciting.

So much better than a regular movie.

Then we went to a park and had lunch:

Then played and opened presents:
Thank you friends, for making Josh's birthday such a blast!
